Ingredients

  • 400 grams Pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
  • 300 grams Pink salmon fillets (skinless, boneless)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 3 whole Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red chili flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/2 cup of the cooking water, and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, season the pink salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the unsalted butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the garlic and butter.

Step 6

Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until it melts and the sauce becomes creamy. If the sauce is too thick, use the reserved pasta water to thin it out, adding a little at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.

Step 7

Flake the cooked salmon into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet with the cream sauce. Gently fold the salmon into the sauce.

Step 8

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat it with the sauce. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Step 9

Finish the dish with fresh parsley, a squeeze of lemon juice, and red chili flakes (if using) for a touch of heat. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
