Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 cup Pineapple juice
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions (optional, for garnish)
  • 0.5 cup Pineapple chunks (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and paprika, making sure both sides are evenly coated.

Step 3

Heat a large oven-safe skillet or pan over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.

Step 4

Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and sear for another 3-4 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the pineapple juice, honey, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
