Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Frozen pierogies
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Cremini mushrooms
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 quarter cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Cook the frozen pierogies in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and butter.

Add chopped cremini mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and tender.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in heavy cream, fresh thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
