Ingredients

  • 500 grams All-purpose flour
  • 7 grams Active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 300 milliliters Warm water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Plain yogurt
  • 1 large Egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Black sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, olive oil, and yogurt.

Step 3

Mix the ingredients together until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
