  • 0.33 cup green olives, sliced
  • 0.25 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 0.5 cup water or beef broth

Directions

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the diced onions and cook for 3-4 minutes, until translucent.

Step 3

Stir in the minced garlic and diced green bell pepper, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Cover the skillet with a lid and let the picadillo cook for approximately 20 minutes on low heat or until the potatoes are tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Step 10

Taste and adjust seasonings if needed.
