  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Place the ribeye steak in the freezer for 20-30 minutes to firm up slightly. This makes it easier to slice thinly.

Step 2

While the steak is chilling, slice the red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and yellow onion into thin strips.

Step 3

Remove the steak from the freezer and use a sharp knife to thinly slice it against the grain into small strips.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion, and sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Remove from skillet and set aside.
