Ingredients

  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 4 stalks Green onions, sliced (white and green parts separated)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Chicken broth
  • 8 ounces Dry Asian noodles or spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 cup Bean sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons Crushed peanuts (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain, toss with sesame oil to prevent sticking, and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula. This should take about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and the white parts of the green onions to the skillet. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and chicken broth to make the sauce.

Step 6

Pour the sauce into the skillet with the pork mixture. Stir well and let simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Step 7

Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until well coated in the sauce. Add the bean sprouts and toss again to combine.

Step 8

Divide the noodles into serving bowls. Garnish with the green parts of the green onions, crushed peanuts, and fresh cilantro, if desired.

Step 9

Serve hot and enjoy!
