Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Country-style pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Pat the country-style pork ribs dry with paper towels and set aside.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar.

Step 4

Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs evenly on both sides.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Work in batches if necessary.

Step 6

Transfer the seared ribs to a large baking dish or roasting pan, arranging them in a single layer.

Step 7

In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and water. Pour the mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

Step 8

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 2.5 hours, or until the ribs are tender and falling off the bone.

Step 9

Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Baste the ribs with the sauce from the pan, then bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Step 10

Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 11

Serve the ribs with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, cornbread, or coleslaw, and drizzle extra sauce from the pan on top.
