Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Basil pesto
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 8 pieces Toothpicks (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 2

Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket. Be careful not to cut all the way through.

Step 3

Season the inside and outside of each chicken breast with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Spread 2 tablespoons of basil pesto inside each pocket, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
