Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Milk (preferably whole)
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (for greasing the pan)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 3

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. The batter should be smooth and slightly runny. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes or up to 1 hour for best results.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with a small amount of butter, using a paper towel to spread it evenly.

Step 5

Once the pan is hot, pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the center of the pan. Immediately tilt and rotate the pan to spread the batter into a thin, even layer.

Step 6

Cook the crepe for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to lift and the underside is golden brown.

Step 7

Using a spatula, gently flip the crepe and cook for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute on the other side.

Step 8

Transfer the cooked crepe to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the crepes as you go to keep them warm.

Step 9

Serve the crepes with your favorite fillings and toppings, such as fresh fruit, whipped cream, Nutella, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
