  • 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 95 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 75 grams chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8x8-inch (20x20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

Melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Stir until smooth and fully combined. Remove the bowl from heat and let it cool slightly.

Whisk the granulated sugar and light brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
