Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 cups Unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 0.75 cups Pepperoni (diced)
  • 0.75 cups Whole milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning.

Step 3

Cut the cold unsalted butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese, diced pepperoni, and grated Parmesan cheese to evenly distribute them throughout the mixture.

Step 5

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the whole milk and the egg until well combined.

Step 6

Pour the milk and egg mixture into the dry ingredients, and gently stir with a spatula just until everything comes together. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 7

Using a large spoon or cookie scoop, drop mounds of dough (about 3 tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 8

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through.

Step 9

Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm and enjoy!
