Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Pretzel rods
  • 1.5 cups White chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 0.5 cups Crushed peppermint candy or candy canes
  • 1 teaspoons Vegetable oil (optional)
  • 1 sheet Parchment or wax paper

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.

Step 2

Place the white chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. If the chocolate seems too thick, stir in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.

Step 3

Hold a pretzel rod by one end and dip it two-thirds of the way into the melted white chocolate, turning it to coat evenly. Gently tap the pretzel on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

Step 4

While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the crushed peppermint candy over the coated portion of the pretzel. Rotate the pretzel to ensure even coverage.

Step 5

Place the coated pretzel rod on the prepared parchment or wax paper. Repeat with the remaining pretzel rods.

Step 6

Allow the Peppermint Pretzel Canes to set completely at room temperature, approximately 15-20 minutes. If needed, you can transfer them to the refrigerator for faster setting.
