Ingredients

  • 300 grams Dark chocolate
  • 200 grams Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons Peppermint extract
  • 120 grams Powdered sugar
  • 30 grams Butter
  • 50 grams Crushed peppermint candies

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set it aside.

Step 2

Melt 200 grams of dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring periodically to ensure smooth consistency.

Step 3

Using a teaspoon, spoon a small amount of melted chocolate into silicone candy molds or cupcake liners, ensuring the bottom is evenly coated.

Step 4

Gently tilt or rotate the molds to coat the sides with a thin layer of chocolate. Place in the freezer to set for 5–10 minutes.

Step 5

In a medium mixing bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar, butter, and peppermint extract. Mix well until a smooth and malleable filling is formed.

Step 6

Remove the candy molds from the freezer. Take a small portion of the filling and roll it into marble-sized balls. Gently press one ball into each chocolate mold, leaving a small gap at the top for sealing.

Step 7

Melt the remaining 100 grams of chocolate and spoon it over the filling, covering it completely. Tap the molds lightly on the counter to smooth out the tops and remove air bubbles.

Freeze the molds for 15 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set and the bon bons can be easily removed from the molds.
