  • 250 grams Italian sausage
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs

  • 3 cloves Garlic

  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 800 grams Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 400 grams Penne pasta
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 2

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.
