Ingredients

  • 240 grams All-purpose flour
  • 170 grams Unsalted butter
  • 113 grams Cream cheese
  • 200 grams Brown sugar
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 200 grams Pecans, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line it with paper liners.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, and cream cheese using a hand mixer or pastry cutter until the mixture forms a smooth dough.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 24 small balls, roughly 1 tablespoon each, and press them into the bottoms and up the sides of the mini muffin tin wells to form tart shells. Set aside.

Step 4

In another mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined.

Step 5

Stir in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the filling mixture.

Step 6

Spoon about 1½ teaspoons of the pecan filling into each tart shell, filling them just below the rim to avoid overflow during baking.

Step 7

Place the mini muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the filling is set and the tart shells are golden brown.

Step 8

Allow the pecan tartlets to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before carefully removing them. Transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 9

Serve warm, at room temperature, or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
