Ingredients

  • 200 grams All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 150 grams Unsalted butter, softened
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 120 milliliters Whole milk
  • 100 grams Dark chocolate, chopped
  • 80 grams Pistachios, shelled and chopped
  • 2 medium Pears, ripe but firm (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
