Ingredients

  • 115 grams Unsalted butter
  • 170 grams Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 100 grams Brown sugar, packed
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 95 grams All-purpose flour
  • 30 grams Cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 150 grams Peanut M&Ms

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and pale in color, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Gradually add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the egg and sugar mixture, whisking continuously until well combined.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, folding gently with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.

Reserve a handful of Peanut M&Ms for topping and fold the rest into the brownie batter.
