Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour

  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 unit large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 36 pieces Hershey's Kisses (unwrapped)
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until fully incorporated.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Scoop out 1-inch balls of dough using a cookie scoop or tablespoon. Roll each dough ball between your palms until smooth.

As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, quickly press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie. The cookie will slightly crack around the edges, which is normal.
