Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 3 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup Cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt together the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined. Then add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition.

Step 4

Stir in the vanilla extract, then sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 5

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly with a spatula.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy.

Step 7

Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture on top of the brownie batter. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the peanut butter into the top of the batter, creating a marbled effect.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.

Step 9

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Step 10

Once cool, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Slice into 12 squares and serve.
