Ingredients

  • 113 grams Unsalted butter
  • 120 grams Creamy peanut butter
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 100 grams Brown sugar, packed
  • 1 piece Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 130 grams All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 90 grams Rolled oats
  • 150 grams Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream the ingredients together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and beat until well combined.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Step 6

Fold in the rolled oats and semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.

Step 7

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions of the dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Step 8

Gently press down on each scoop of dough to flatten slightly.

Step 9

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look soft, but they will firm up as they cool.

Step 10

Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 11

Serve and enjoy your homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Oat Cookies!
