Ingredients

  • 6 large Fresh peaches
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Maple syrup
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter (for sauce)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.

Step 3

In a large bowl, toss the peach slices with granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until evenly coated. Transfer the peach mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out in an even layer.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.

Step 5

Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 6

Spread the oat topping evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.

Step 7

Bake the crisp in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling.

Step 8

While the crisp is baking, make the maple sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, heavy cream, and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened (about 5 minutes).

Step 9

Remove the crisp from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

Step 10

Serve the peach crisp warm, drizzled with the maple sauce. Optionally, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat!
