Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized Fresh peaches
  • 2 pieces Chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.25 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Peel and pit the peaches, then dice them into small pieces.

Step 2

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the diced peaches, chipotle peppers, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and water.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir well to combine all ingredients.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic, smoked paprika, ground black pepper, and salt to the saucepan. Stir to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.

Step 5

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Allow it to cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches have softened and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Step 6

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Use an immersion blender (or transfer the mixture to a countertop blender) to puree the sauce until smooth. Be careful, as the mixture will still be hot.

Step 7

Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings if needed—add more salt, brown sugar, or chipotle peppers for extra heat.

Step 8

Return the sauce to low heat and simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 9

Cool completely before transferring the sauce to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Step 10

Use as a glaze for grilled meats, a sauce for pulled pork, or as a flavorful dipping sauce for fries and other snacks.
