Ingredients

  • 6 cups Water
  • 4 Black tea bags
  • 3 Fresh peaches
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 10 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 5 leaves Additional mint leaves (for garnish)
  • 1 Peach slices (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium-sized pot.

Step 2

Remove the pot from heat and add the black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

Step 3

While the tea is steeping, peel and dice 2 of the peaches. Reserve the third peach for garnish.

Step 4

In a small saucepan, combine the diced peaches, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.

Step 5

Simmer the peach mixture for 10–15 minutes until the peaches are soft and the syrup is fragrant. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 6

Strain the tea into a large pitcher and discard the tea bags.

Step 7

Strain the peach syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into the pitcher with the tea. Press the peaches gently with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the peach solids.

Add the fresh mint leaves to the pitcher and stir gently to infuse the tea with mint flavor.

Refrigerate the tea for at least 1 hour or until chilled.
