Ingredients

  • 500 grams All-purpose flour
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Orange zest
  • 120 milliliters Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 120 milliliters Vegetable oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons Sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the orange zest to the dry ingredients and mix well to evenly distribute the zest.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, combine the orange juice, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring with a spoon or spatula until a soft dough forms.

Divide the dough into two equal portions. On a floured surface, shape each portion into a log approximately 30 cm (12 inches) long and 5 cm (2 inches) wide.
