Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Hot sauce
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 cup Sesame seeds
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil (for frying)

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breasts into thin strips, approximately 1-inch wide and 3-4 inches long.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, hot sauce, and the egg. Add the chicken strips to this mixture and allow them to marinate for 10 minutes while you prepare the coating.

Step 3

In a separate shallow dish, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to combine.

Step 4

Place the sesame seeds in another shallow dish.

Step 5

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat to a temperature of about 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.

Step 6

Remove a chicken strip from the milk mixture, letting the excess drip off, and dredge it in the flour mixture, coating evenly.

Step 7

Press the floured chicken strip into the sesame seeds so the seeds adhere to both sides. Repeat with the remaining chicken strips.

Step 8

Carefully place the coated chicken strips into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry each batch for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

Step 9

Transfer the fried chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 10

Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as honey mustard or sweet chili sauce.
