Ingredients

  • 400 g Pasta (such as spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 units Garlic cloves, minced

  • 800 g Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 100 g Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 units Fresh basil leaves, to garnish

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
