Ingredients

  • 12 oz Pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 cups Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil leaves, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with half the salt (1/2 tsp) and pepper (1/4 tsp). Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
