  • 400 g spaghetti or pasta of choice

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 L water (for boiling pasta)

Directions

Step 1

Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a large pot and add 1 teaspoon of salt.

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it is al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Set aside.

While the pasta cooks, prepare the sesame sauce. In a small bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth and well blended.

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the white sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until golden and aromatic. Remove from heat.
