  • 12 oz Pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
  • 6 oz Havarti cheese (shredded or cubed)

  • 3 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining and set the pasta aside.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Lower the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well and let it come to a gentle simmer.
