Ingredients

  • 12 pieces Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 slices Sliced deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Poppy seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2

Using a serrated knife, slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls horizontally in half without separating the rolls. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.

Step 3

Layer the bottom half of the rolls evenly with the sliced ham, folding the slices if needed to fit the rolls.

Step 4

Place the Swiss cheese slices over the ham, breaking them as necessary to cover the ham layer.

Step 5

Add the top half of the rolls to complete the sandwich structure.

Step 6

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in Dijon mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, then remove from heat.

Step 7

Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls, making sure to coat them evenly.

Step 8

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Step 9

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and slightly crisp.

Step 10

Remove the dish from the oven and let the rolls cool slightly before cutting into individual sandwiches and serving.
