Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 0.75 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 large Egg

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease the muffin cups.

Step 2

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Step 3

Add the chopped rosemary and grated Parmesan cheese to the dry ingredients, stirring to distribute them evenly.

Step 4

In a separate medium-sized bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg until thoroughly combined.

Step 5

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Step 6

Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Step 8

Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool slightly before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm or at room temperature. These muffins pair wonderfully with soups, salads, or as a grab-and-go snack.
