Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan, combine the 2 cups of water and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
