Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast

  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Warm water (110°F - 115°F)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoons Optional: garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Step 2

Add olive oil, salt, and 1.5 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon until well combined.

Step 3

Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of flour, kneading the dough by hand or with a dough hook attachment on a stand mixer, until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 8–10 minutes).

Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
