Ingredients

  • 450 grams raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 300 grams fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes (if using). Set the spice mixture aside.

Step 2

2. Rinse the green beans under cold water and trim the ends. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.

Step 3

3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

4. Add the green beans to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are bright green and slightly tender. Remove the green beans from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 5

5. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they begin to turn pink.

Step 6

6. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the shrimp and stir well to coat.

Step 7

7. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until fully cooked and opaque.

Step 8

8. Return the green beans to the skillet and toss them with the shrimp to warm through, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 9

9. Drizzle the lemon juice over the dish and stir gently to combine.

Step 10

10. Remove the skillet from the heat and serve the Paprika Shrimp and Green Bean Saute immediately. Enjoy!
