Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 8 pieces Medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 pieces Fresh oysters, shucked
  • 2 tablespoons Blackening seasoning
  • 1 small Yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 small Green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Dry white wine
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 loaf French bread or garlic bread, sliced

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.

Step 3

Toss the shrimp and oysters in the blackening seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Step 4

Add the shrimp and oysters to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they just begin to blacken. Remove and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.

Step 6

Add the sliced mushrooms and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

Step 7

Deglaze the skillet with the white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow the wine to reduce by half.

Step 8

Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 9

Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Add the shrimp and oysters back to the skillet, gently folding them into the creamy sauce.

Step 10

Transfer the mixture to a small oven-safe baking dish. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 12

Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.

Step 13

Serve immediately with sliced French bread or garlic bread for dipping.
