Ingredients

  • 200 grams Ground chicken
  • 100 grams Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks Scallions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 20 pieces Wonton wrappers
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, and scallions.

Step 2

Add soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are uniformly combined.

Step 3

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of filling onto the center of the wrapper.

Step 4

Dampen the edges of the wrapper with a little water using your finger.

Step 5

Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle, then press the edges to seal tightly.

Step 6

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat, ensuring there's enough oil to submerge the wontons.

Step 7

Once the oil is hot (about 180°C or 350°F), carefully add several pangsit into the pan without overcrowding.

Step 8

Fry the wontons for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.

Step 9

Remove the fried pangsit with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Step 10

Repeat the frying process with the remaining wontons until all are cooked.

Step 11

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
