Ingredients

  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 medium, finely chopped Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 medium, finely chopped Tomato
  • 1 chopped Green chili
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon or to taste Salt
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Cilantro (Coriander leaves)

Directions

Step 1

Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 3

Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Step 4

Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Step 5

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.

Add the chopped tomatoes and green chili; cook until the tomatoes turn soft and oil starts to separate from the masala.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well, cooking for about 2 minutes.

Pour in 1/2 cup of water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Gently add the paneer cubes into the pan, ensuring they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
