Ingredients

  • 2 pieces (12 oz each) Ribeye steak
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 large (minced) Garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon (chopped) Fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon (chopped) Fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon (chopped) Fresh rosemary

Directions

Step 1

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder to create a seasoning blend.

Step 3

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Rub both sides of each steak generously with olive oil and season with the prepared spice blend.

Step 4

Heat a cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat until it is smoking hot.

Step 5

Place the steaks on the hot pan and sear them for 3-4 minutes on one side without moving, until a nice crust forms. Flip the steaks and sear for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired doneness.

Step 6

While the steaks are cooking, prepare the garlic-herb butter. In a small bowl, mix the unsalted butter, minced garlic, parsley, thyme, and rosemary until evenly combined.

Step 7

Once the steaks are cooked, transfer them to a cutting board and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain their juices.

Step 8

Serve the steaks hot, topped with a dollop of the garlic-herb butter. Pair with grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
