Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Tilapia fillets
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.25 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 cups Dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Capers
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Season the tilapia fillets on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Lightly dredge each fillet in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess flour.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter and allow it to melt.

Step 4

Place the floured tilapia fillets into the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

Step 6

Pour in the white wine and fresh lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.

Step 7

Stir in the capers and half of the chopped parsley, cooking for an additional 1 minute to combine the flavors.

Step 8

Return the cooked tilapia fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each fillet. Let everything warm through for 1-2 minutes.

Step 9

Garnish with the remaining chopped parsley and serve immediately. Pair with your choice of side dishes, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
