Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 1.5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 cup Chicken stock
  • 0.25 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Pat the seasoning into the meat for better adherence.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and butter, swirling to combine.

Step 3

Once the skillet is hot and the butter has melted, add the pork chops in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside to rest on a plate.

Step 4

Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and chicken stock. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Step 5

Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes to slightly reduce. Stir in the heavy cream and fresh thyme leaves, then cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 6

Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the meat to coat. Let the pork heat through for 1-2 minutes.

Step 7

Transfer the pork chops to serving plates, spooning additional sauce over the top. Serve warm with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
