Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 cup white wine

Directions

Step 1

Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until the skin is crispy and fillets are about 60% cooked through.

Step 4

Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is just cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter.

Step 6

Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 7

Add white wine and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, or until it reduces by half.

Step 8

Stir in the heavy cream, juice of the lemon, and chopped fresh dill.

Step 9

Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 10

Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.

Step 11

Let the salmon sit in the sauce for a minute to heat through.

Step 12

Serve the salmon fillets with sauce drizzled over the top and garnish with additional fresh dill if desired. Enjoy your meal!
