Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1.25 cups Warm water (110°F/43°C)
  • 6 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 large Red bell pepper
  • 1 large Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

Step 2

Place the red and yellow bell peppers directly on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally until the skins are charred and blistered. Remove from the oven, place the peppers in a bowl, and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Peel the charred skin off the peppers, remove the seeds, and slice the flesh into thin strips. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and 1.5 teaspoons of salt.

Slowly add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the dry mixture. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
