Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup raw honey
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot starch
  • 2 teaspoons water

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the arrowroot starch and water to create a slurry. Set aside.

Step 2

In a small saucepan, combine the honey, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, coconut aminos, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

Step 4

Once the mixture begins to simmer, lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the arrowroot starch slurry. Continue to stir until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the sauce cool slightly. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.

Step 6

Serve immediately as a glaze, dipping sauce, or drizzle over your favorite Paleo-friendly dishes. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
