Ingredients

  • 4 cups (packed) Kale
  • 4 cups (packed) Swiss chard
  • 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Lemon
  • 0.5 teaspoons Sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Thoroughly wash the kale and Swiss chard under running water. Remove the tough stems and roughly chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Juice the lemon and set the juice aside.

Step 3

In a wide pot with a fitted lid, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Place a steaming basket inside the pot, ensuring it doesn’t touch the water.

Add the chopped greens to the steaming basket. Cover the pot with the lid and steam for 5-7 minutes, or until the greens are tender and vibrant in color.
