Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp arrowroot powder
  • 0.5 cup coconut aminos
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, toss the thinly sliced beef with arrowroot powder, ensuring they're evenly coated. Set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, water, raw honey, minced ginger, and minced garlic to create the sauce. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook for 3-4 minutes until beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of avocado oil. Add the red bell pepper slices, julienned carrot, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Step 5

Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Toss everything together and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is well combined.

Step 6

Stir in the sesame oil and sliced green onions. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 7

Sprinkle the stir-fry with sesame seeds before serving.

Step 8

Serve immediately and enjoy this flavorful and Paleo-friendly Mongolian Stir Fry!
