Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 large, chopped Onion
  • 4 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 12 ounces, frozen and thawed Mloukhiye leaves
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup, chopped Fresh cilantro
  • 4 for serving Lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

Heat the ghee in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for 5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

Step 2

In the same pot, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic, ground coriander, and ground cumin, cooking for another minute until fragrant.

Step 3

Return the chicken thighs to the pot, and add the drained Mloukhiye leaves. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
