Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup almond flour
  • 1 whole large egg
  • 0.5 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, almond flour, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, coconut aminos, sea salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Using your hands, mix all ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Step 4

Form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter, using about 2 tablespoons of mixture for each ball. You should have approximately 18-20 meatballs.

Step 5

In a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat, add coconut oil and heat until shimmering.

Step 6

Add the meatballs in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear the meatballs on all sides until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.

Step 7

Once all the meatballs are seared, place them all back into the skillet. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.

Step 8

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and a thermometer inserted into the center reads 165°F (74°C).

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Step 10

Serve the meatballs hot with your choice of paleo-friendly side dishes, such as zoodles or cauliflower rice.
