Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil over medium heat.
Add the onion, garlic, scotch bonnet pepper, and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned.
Stir in the green onions, thyme, allspice, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and coconut aminos. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove the beef mixture from heat and set it aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the arrowroot flour, almond flour, turmeric, and a pinch of salt.
Add in the cold butter or lard and mix until crumbly. For a lighter texture, you may use a food processor.
Slowly add cold water, mixing until the dough comes together. It should be firm yet pliable.
Divide the dough into eight equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten into a disk about 6 inches in diameter.
