Ingredients

  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Jaggery
  • 1 tablespoon Black tea leaves
  • 0.5 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 inch piece Fresh ginger
  • 3 pods Cardamom pods
  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick

Directions

Step 1

Start by peeling and lightly crushing the ginger. Set it aside.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the jaggery to the boiling water and stir until it dissolves completely.

Step 4

Once the jaggery is dissolved, add the crushed ginger, cardamom pods, and the cinnamon stick.

Step 5

Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors infuse.

Step 6

Add the black tea leaves to the simmering mixture and steep for 3 minutes.

Step 7

After 3 minutes, add the coconut milk to the saucepan and stir well.

Step 8

Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for an additional minute.

Step 9

Strain the tea through a fine-mesh strainer into cups or a teapot to remove the tea leaves and spices.

Step 10
